Our Founder

Late Shri Dina Nath, born in 1939 near Lahore, Undivided India (now Pakistan), embodies the spirit of resilience and determination. The upheaval of the 1947 partition marked his early years, a cataclysmic event that forced his family to relocate to present-day India. Despite facing immense challenges during his childhood, Shri Dina Nath never lost faith in the transformative power of education.

With an unwavering resolve, he pursued his studies at some of India's most reputed institutions, laying the foundation for a lifetime dedicated to learning and teaching.

Late Shri Dina Nath's passion for education led him to become a teacher, a role in which he served with distinction for several decades. His commitment to nurturing young minds and his innovative approach to teaching left an indelible mark on his students and colleagues alike. Recognising the potential for education to drive societal progress, he took voluntary retirement to embark on a new mission – founding the Mount Abu Schools.

The seeds of Mount Abu Schools, sown by Late Shri Dina Nath's vision and dedication, have grown into a thriving educational ecosystem. Today, thousands of learners, educators, and community members across India benefit from the fruits of his labour. The schools are celebrated for their pioneering educational practices, inclusivity, and commitment to excellence. He passed away on 9 November 2021 after facing a short illness.

Late Shri Dina Nath's legacy is one of profound inspiration. His life story, from a challenging childhood marked by displacement to becoming a beacon of hope and learning, underscores the power of perseverance and the transformative impact of education.
